ToRtiLLa SnOb

I'm a huge flour tortilla snob. Living in the southwest gives me permission. It's a staple of life around here.
I can spot a good quality flour tortilla from 10 paces and steer clear of any cheaper imitations.

I could be starving and still not eat just any tortilla even when it comes from across the border. I'm that picky.

These are my top 3 flour tortilla picks:

Carolina's - large, thin and super fresh.

Cafe Rio - large, flavorful and super soft.

but #1 goes to.........

Fajitas Restaurant - small, soft, thick and MMMMmmmmmmm!!! I always get some to take home.


How can a food differ so dramatically when the recipe calls for 5 basic ingredients:

flour, shortening, salt, baking powder and water.
