The Cake Tattoos really saved the day at the Sweet 16 party!
I used some cool whip to keep the frosting lighter and more fluffy
which also made it harder to make the sides and top of the cake smooth
even though the flavor was worth it.
I wrapped some ribbon around the bottom of both cakes
then wrapped the cake tattoo above the ribbon.
It hid a lot of mistakes and was so easy!
I was so grateful that I made these "M"s a few weeks ago.
They really saved the day when I couldn't find
my large round frosting tip.
I wanted to make Georgetown Cupcakes signature swirl.
My daughter and her friend KN substituted a large star tip
which ended up looking just as wonderful
with all the sprinkles, glitter, and food spray paint they added.
I baked Red Velvet to go along with our red/black/silver theme.
After we finished all the cupcakes and set them up
we realized we'd forgotten to put the cupcake wrappers around.
There was enough going on up top
that we didn't worry about the decorative wrappers.
Especially because I had used mostly silver foil cups.
The cake and cupcakes were moist, delicious and beautiful!
