I started this post about 2.5 years ago but didn't finish it. Someone taught this extremely easy recipe at Super Saturday last weekend and I was reminded how simple, yet scrumptious these Oreo balls are with only 3 ingredients!
1 pkg Oreos, 8 oz cream cheese, milk and/or white chocolate almond bark. Put the whole package of Oreos in food processor and grind them up. Then add the cream cheese.
Mix really well. It will look similar to the mud pies you made as a kid. Roll into balls. They will look like shiny black rocks. Freeze for at least an hour. Melt milk and/or white chocolate per instructions on wrapper. I melt and stir every 30 seconds in the microwave until its smooth and creamy. Dip balls in the chocolate. Set aside to let chocolate harden. I love the way these Oreo balls taste when they are slightly chilled! Makes about 70 balls.
They are wonderful for parties but also gifts, especially with Mother's Day coming up!
