I get stuck in a rut everyday around 3pm.
That's when the kids start coming home from school asking what's for dinner.
I feel like we make the same things over and over again.
I've been trying hard lately to add more veggies in our meals.
My kids have no idea how many times I grab handfuls of spinach
and incorporate it into the food they're eat.
over at Cheeky Kitchen.
Then I remembered the balls of dough
that can be bought at Bashas for $2.00 each. Yippee!
I don't like making dough the old-fashioned way.
I bought 3 dough balls for my large family,
quickly sauteed all the vegetables, grated some fresh Monterey Jack Cheese
and a jar of Pesto.
Then I let the kids go crazy making their own Calzones.
They really got into it! We had all shapes and sizes.
When we were done it looked and smelled like a bakery!
I realized that we could have gotten away with 2 dough balls.
Our Calzones were huge!It was not a problem since everyone (and I mean EVERYONE) loved them.
I heard so many grateful and wonderful comments
again and again about how delicious they tasted!
Most of us had to save our second one until the next day
because they were so big.
I need to be sure to add 'Calzones' to our list of
things to make for dinner.
They were a huge hit!
