I wish I'd known about this little gem
at the beginning of our week long vacation to Huntington Beach.
I would have made the short trip there every day.
When I say, "Everyday" I mean, "EVERYDAY!"
I had initially heard about a crepe restaurant on the main street but while walking around with my oldest teenagers we couldn't find it.
Of course that made us want a crepe even more!
So after a quick Internet search we found
Rockin Crepe just a mile down the street from our condo.
Sounded like fate to me.
I was a little unsure when we pulled up.The font and design on the sign outside looked too heavy metal for French food.
Inside was even MORE heavy metal.I've never associated the two.
I'm sure they laughed a little when I walked
in with a very confused look on my face and asked,
"Is this the crepe place?".It ended up being a really cool place.
Every table had a different heavy metal theme.
Unfortunately we had to order our crepes to go
so I don't have a great picture to show you.
We ordered 5 crepes to share:
Deep Purple - thin sliced turkey breast, fresh strawberries, dried cranberries and rich Brie cheese. SO Delicious!!!
Van Halen - thin sliced chicken breast, provolone cheese, tomatoes, spinach, onions, pesto and smokey hot sauce. YUM!
Iron Maiden - Nutella, bananas, strawberries and whipped cream. FAB!
Anthrax - Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, powdered sugar and whipped cream. LOVE!
Love/Hate - Butterfinger, powdered sugar, whipped cream and chopped walnuts. TO DIE FOR!
If you visit Huntington Beach you've got to eat at Rockin Crepe.
At least once.
For me please?
It's on the corner of Atlanta and Magnolia.
Side note: It's also a fun place to bond with your teenagers.
They were surprised that I knew so many of THEIR songs and artists. ;)
